Snapshot: This stunner rocks a rich reddish-brown base like a velvet suit, lit up with electric blue polka-dots scattered across its body like confetti at an underwater party.
Other tidbits: Can grow up to whopping 42cm or so! Distributed throughout the East Indian Ocean, West Indian Ocean, Australia, Japan, The Red Sea, Indonesia, East Pacific, Central/West Pacific Ocean. It’s ultra-sensitive during the ride and even more so when stepping into its new digs, so roll out that VIP acclimation treatment and keep the vibes smooth and steady.
Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish only system or reef aquarium, with care. Thick, sandy substrate.
Acquarium set-up: Wrasses love their comfort — give them a cozy thick sandbed to burrow into when they need a snooze or sense trouble. And don't forget a secure lid — they're jumpers! Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine water changes.
Feeding: Serve up some live snacks to help it settle into its new pad like a VIP guest. Keep your Wrasse in top form with a gourmet diet of vitamin-enriched frozen mysis and brine shrimp, alongside high-quality marine flakes and pellets.
