Snapshot: This beautiy sports a sleek, pale look draped in silvery-white, with tiny dark spots scattered like confetti. A bold black eyebar gives it some edge, while its dorsal and anal fins burst in vibrant yellow.

Other tidbits: Can grow up to 18cm or so. Range extends from Australia, Japan, Indonesia, East Pacific, New Zealand, Central/West Pacific. This species likes to eat tubeworms.

Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish-only system, or reef aquarium with care. Stable, top-notch water quality.

  • Aquarium set-up: This fish loves a secret hideout! Hook it up with caves, crevices, and live rock nooks, and it'll feel right at home. This fish is also born to roam! Give it a spacious tank, and it'll cruise like a boss, showing off its smooth moves. Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine partial water changes.

Feeding: This shy and deliberate feeder isn't one to dive headfirst into a meal. You might need to pull out all the stops, offering a variety of foods to entice it to start chowing down. Treat them to a feast of brine shrimp, clams, mussels, blackworms, and small pieces of clam.

AQT note: All our fish feast on a diet of seaweed, marine pellets, flakes and frozen treats under our care. Keep the feast going in your tank!
