Goldtail Angelfish
Snapshot: This fish rocks a mottled-brown body with bold white vertical stripes, while its head pops with vivid sapphire-blue lines. The tail starts off clear as a juvenile but transforms into a mellow yellow edged in sapphire-blue.
Other tidbits: Can grow up to 33cm or so! Distributed throughout the East Indian Ocean, West Indian Ocean, Australia, and Indonesia. When this Goldtail is stressed, it makes a weird, grunting sound, like it’s got something to say!
Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish-only system, fish-only system, or reef aquarium with care. Mature and well established aquarium. Top-notch water quality.
