Gray Angelfish

Snapshot: The Gray Angelfish rocks a bold, disc-shaped body. As juveniles , they are sleek black, decked out with yellow stripes. As adults, they trade the stripes in for a classy pale gray look, sprinkled with cool black spots.

 

Other tidbits: Can grow up to a whopping 60cm or so. Distributed throughout Japan, The Mexican Golf, and the West Atlantic Oceans. 

 

Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish only system, fish-only system or reef aquarium with care. Top-notch water quality. Larger sized aquarium needed. Well established and mature aquariums only. 

  • Aquarium set-up: These fish thrive in a top-notch aquarium where it can snack on algae straight off the rocks and stones. It loves to hide, so give it some cozy spots to chill. And since its all about the swim life, make sure its got plenty of room to cruise and show off. Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine partial water changes.

    Feeding: Angelfish are omnivorous champs. Keep 'em happy with a smorgasbord of high-quality marine flakes, nutrient-rich algae like nori, live treats, and frozen crustaceans like brine or mysis shrimp, and top-notch frozen blends.
