Powder Blue x White Cheek Tang

Snapshot: This surgeonfish is a hybrid of the Powder Blue and the White Cheek Tang. This beauty struts a bold mix of electric blue and black, with flashes of yellow like it’s dipped in sunshine and shadow.

Other tidbits: Can grow up to 25cm or so. Acanthurus leucosternon x Acanthurus nigricans

Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish-only system, or reef aquarium with plenty of swimming room. Mature and well established aquariums only.

Aquarium set-up: This hybrid needs room to roam and plenty of live rock to snack on. Best suited for big, seasoned tanks where it can strut its stuff in style. Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine water changes.

Feeding: For tangs, algae is king! Load up on algae-based essentials like toasted nori sheets, algae flakes, and pellets. And for a gourmet twist, treat them to frozen brine shrimp enriched with spirulina. It's an algae feast fit for royalty!
