Royal Pencil Wrasse

Snapshot: Mature males are absolute showstoppers, flashing shades from fuchsia and fiery red around the nose and eyes, streaming back past the gills. Their body glows light green. From mid-body back, electric blue, green and yellow stripes race toward a deep blue-indigo tail. 
 
Other tidbits: Can grow up to 12cm or so. Distributed throughout the tropical Indo-West Pacific region (East Indian Ocean, Indonesia).
 
Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish only system or reef aquarium. Thick, sandy substrate.
