Tail Spot Blenny
Snapshot: The Tail Spot Blenny is best known for the bold black "tail spot" at the base of its tail, a clever false eye that helps confuse predators. Add its oversized eyes, tiny pouty mouth, and distinctive black-and-yellow stripe beneath each eye, and you've got one of the reef's funniest little characters.
Other tidbits: Can grow up to 6cm or so. Distributed throughout Indonesia. Blennies are fantastic little clean-up helpers too!
Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish-only system, or reef aquarium with care. Mature and well established aquariums are best.
