Yellow and Purple Wrasse
Snapshot: The juvenile stage of this fish is a dazzling mix of yellow and white-to-purple hues. Its top half glows with vibrant yellow, while the bottom transitions into a dreamy white-to-purple gradient. As it grows up, the yellow fades away, giving way to a stunning transformation into a gorgeous, rosy pink masterpiece.
Other tidbits: Can grow up to 12cm or so. Distributed throughout the East Indian Ocean, Australia, The Red Sea, and Indonesia. This species has a reputation as a tubeworm and flatworm terminator.
Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish-only system, or reef aquarium with care.
